To Whom it May Concern:

I first became aware of the local Ottawa band EFARM when they played their first show at the Downstairs Club (now the Hi-Fi) two and a half years ago. They were given a Friday night headlining slot when the Jive Wires had to cancel with two days notice, Steve Berndt (from the Jive Wires) having recommended them as a replacement. Even with only two days to promote and prepare for the show, they absolutely filled the place, and
pulled in some of the highest sales we had done in that year. They played three full sets of interesting energetic music, with a few cover songs which they completely made their own, keeping nearly the entire crowd on its feet dancing to the very end.
Since then, they have played several shows that I have worked, both at the Hi-Fi and Perfect Strangers (formerly the Upstairs' Club), and have always attracted a large crowd. The most recent show that I worked was their CD release party at the Hi-Fi, which was an enormous success. They had a full room,
a line-up out the door to get in, bar sales which were fifth highest EVER for that room (in which I've worked for the past six years, so highest in my experience there), and a whole lot less CDs than when they arrived. The band members are always professional, with an enormous amount of material, which they deliver enthusiastically. They are infectious to listen to, and give a good live performance. The crowds they attract are not only large, but so pleasant!! There has never been anything close to a problem arising when they play, and I always look forward to it.
In closing, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Actually, everyone should have the pleasure of listening to the female vocalist's voice--you won't forget it.
